There are a few factors to consider when pricing stump removal such as ease of machines access in getting to the stump,
how close to the ground it is cut and how deep you need it ground below grade. Also, if it is rotted out it may be cheaper
than illustrated below. This guide will give you an idea of what the pricing structure is but always get your free price quote
for the final amount.
Here are some basics to start with...
-(deeper upon request)
depth is 7-8" below grade
- $85 minimum can include multiple small stumps
are based on diameter of stumps in inches
Price Quotes give you a
seperate price for just the grinding of the stump and the cost to haul away the excess debris.
will allow you to see your options and choose whats best for you. Most of the time my prices with hauling are cheaper
than those that just grind your stump and leave you the mess.
Let's take the example of a stump
in the front yard. Since all services are based on the size of the stump, you can measure the stump's diameter to get a good
idea of what it will cost.
As pictured below, you measure from the widest point where the stump
comes out of the ground- not nessesarilly where the last cut was made. This stump measured 20" at the cut but you
can see the root ball (where the hump in the grass is) made it measure out at 30" as marked with the red lines.
This is the area that needs to be ground out.
Grinding of Stump = $4.00 per inch
(example of 30" pine stump)... 30 x $4.00 = $120.00
- Haul Away Debris leaving level... add $2.00 per inch (assuming it is
flush cut to the ground)
$120 + $60 (2.00 x 30) = $180.00 with hauling and complete
Prices are rounded down to the nearest $5.
Major surface roots
are charged seperatly and will be included in the total bid.
